Y-NOT Our Music
Y-NOT predominately play classic 'memory jerker' hits from the 1960's although there is a nod back to the late 50's for some rock 'n' roll and the inclusion of some great numbers from the 70's.
Every performance by Y-NOT features all the favourites - great numbers recorded by The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Cliff Richard and the Shadows, Buddy Holly and The Monkees. The current show also includes:
* A selection of numbers recorded by those marvellous British rhythm and blues bands from the 60's - The Animals, Yardbirds, Them, The Spencer Davis Group etc.
* Remembering 'Bubble Gum' - yes, spin back to those heady days of 1968 - remember Crazy Elephant, Tommy James and the Shondells and Ohio Express - we barely do!
* 'The summer of love' - a selection of great 'west coast' numbers from that very special year, (1967) including songs by The Doors, Mamas and Papas and, of course, Scott McKenzie's San Francisco.
* A medley of Bill Hayley and the Comets most well known numbers - bring your jive shoes!
